Jesus’ final instruction to His people was to go into the entire world and lead others to become committed followers of Him until He returns. (Matthew 28:19-20). For us, this means ministering to the needs of the greater Pine City community and in a broader sense ministering to those around the world that do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

The most dynamic, effective way in which we can express our faith is by reaching out to others. It is our desire to meet our community's needs in all aspects of spiritual growth, from someone who is meeting Jesus for the first time to a believer who has walked with Him for many years. Wherever you are in your spiritual life, Pine City Evangelical Free Church would like to encourage you to know Jesus Christ more closely – whether it's in Bible study, serving alongside other believers or in opportunities of fun and fellowship with those who have also embraced Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

We are committed to the expositional preaching and teaching of God's Word and to a balanced blend of the Spirit's power to teach, build up, and empower every believer to the glory of God. We hope that if the Lord leads you into our fellowship, we will be able to share this experience with you.

Values

Gospel Ministry

The gospel is what makes us a community of faith and drives us to ministry.  We believe that gospel is a factual story and a life changing power that transforms the unbeliever to a life of faith, and the believer to a deeper faith.

Scripture Ministry

Our desire is to stay as close to Scripture as possible, while engaging the culture in its own language.  We look to the Old and New Testaments as God’s written revelation of his salvation plan as well as directives on how to live the Christian life.  All of Scripture is written by God and for our good, so we do not shy away from each word, phrase, sentence, chapter or book.  It is our help and our guide to which we look to anchor our ministry.

Missional Ministry

Missional is a mindset.  It is a way of thinking about church in post-Christian culture.  We do not have an evangelistic program.  Everything we do from our worship service, education and spiritual formation assumes people need to be reshaped.  We are less intent on creating programs and more intent on creating communities of faith. The service is not for seekers only or Christians only.  We do not believe mission means going somewhere outside of Pine City, but a life committed to walking with God.

Ageless Ministry

Our ministry is not based on one age group.  We do not plan our church around children or families or singles or married couples or seniors.  We invite each group at different stages of their lives to engage with people who are older and younger then they are.
